About Peii Henry

Peii Henry is the editor and primary author of Mythologis.

He started this project for a very practical reason. He wanted a single source where he could look up the Babylonian creation myth without wading through Reddit threads or AI-generated rephrasings. Three years later, that source is the website you are reading.

The approach is consistent across every article:

  1. Start with the primary text in translation (Theogony, Eddas, Pyramid Texts, Bhagavata Purana, Popol Vuh).
  2. Read it against the standard academic commentaries.
  3. Write it back out in plain English, naming both the source and the translator.

If you spot something wrong, the contact page is the fastest way to flag it. Corrections are appreciated and credited.

Why this matters

Mythology is the oldest collaborative writing project on Earth. Every god, every monster, every flood story was iterated on by hundreds of generations of human beings. Treating that record carelessly is a small failure of respect to all those storytellers.

That is the editorial bar Mythologis tries to clear, every article, every day.
